G-star RAW for the Oceans

Pharrell Williams and G-Star RAW turn Ocean Plastic into Denim

Pharrell Williams, Creative Director of Bionic Yarn, presents ‘RAW for the Oceans’, a long-term collaboration between G-Star RAW and Bionic Yarn. Each season they will create a collection that is made from recycled ocean plastic.

Together with the G-Star in-house team, Christian Borstlap/Part of a Bigger Plan and Mark Muller /FHVBBDO developed the communication concept and a film. The illustrations and character design are made by Christian Borstlap. Narration and lyrics by Pharrell Williams.

This project won the Grand Prix for Product Design at the 2014 Cannes Lions Festival.
